Fluorine refrigerants, also known as refrigerants, deicers, and refrigerants, are the media used in various heat engines to complete energy conversion. These substances usually use reversible phase transitions (such as gas-liquid phase transitions) to increase power. Such as the steam in the steam engine, the refrigerant in the fluorine refrigerants, etc. When a general steam engine is working, it releases the heat energy of the steam and converts it into mechanical energy to generate motive power; while the refrigerant of fluorine refrigerants is used to transfer heat from low temperature to high temperature.
The quality of fluorine refrigerants affects the operation of the entire machine and also causes great harm to the refrigeration system. So how should we distinguish the authenticity of fluorine refrigerants?
Depart from R22
R22, or CHCLF2, is a pure substance with a purity of at least 99%. However, the counterfeit R22 currently on the market contains other corrosive substances such as methyl chloride, and the content is relatively high. Monochloromethane is highly corrosive and will cause serious corrosion to the compressor of the refrigeration unit, resulting in a scrap of the compressor.
For other fluorine refrigerants, we can use the following methods to make a simple judgment:
method one
Turn the fluorine refrigerants tank upside down, and release a small number of fluorine refrigerants onto a piece of white paper; if there are obvious impurities or liquid water on the white paper, it means that the quality of fluorine refrigerants is not good and it is not recommended to use it.
Method Two
Connect the pressure gauge to test the pressure of the fluorine refrigerants bottle. Compare the fluorine refrigerants temperature and pressure characteristics table to check whether the pressure in the bottle is within the normal range; if the pressure is obviously abnormal, it is not recommended to use it.
Method Three
When the fluorine refrigerants are used halfway, the pressure inside the bottle shall be tested again. For single-component fluorine refrigerants such as R22, the two measured bottle pressure values should be very close. If the fluorine refrigerants are inferior fluorine refrigerants, usually mixed with multiple components. After the fluorine refrigerants in the bottle are used, due to the change of the composition ratio, the pressure in the bottle will usually vary greatly. If such phenomena are encountered, it is recommended to stop the When using fluorine refrigerants, fluorine refrigerants that have been injected into the system should be emptied in time to avoid pollution to the system.
Method Four
In the system debugging and operation stage, if the following abnormal phenomena are found, it is recommended to check the purity of the fluorine refrigerants in the system to check whether the fluorine refrigerants in the system are inferior.
(1) The refrigeration capacity of the system is obviously insufficient and after inspection, no other abnormalities are found, and attention should be paid to fluorine refrigerants;
(2) When the system dryer, filter, or expansion valve is clogged, and the clogging is yellow-brown wax-like or black sludge-like foreign matter, pay attention to fluorine refrigerants;
(3) High and low pressure or temperature abnormalities occur during system operation, or when the system is in a shutdown state, the system balance pressure is abnormal. Please check fluorine refrigerants.
